New Beginnings: My Spinraza Journey & Site Update

Greetings, readers!

It’s been a while since my last update, and I’m excited to share some significant changes and progressions in my life. First, let’s talk about this site. Was having issues keeping the site active, but had to migrate thinges to something more stable, but that was proving to be more difficult. Now that it’s done, it will pave the way for more frequent updates and interactions.

The most thrilling update is my recent start with Spinraza. My journey with this treatment finally began on February 6ᵗʰ, and I’m due to complete the loading phase by April 2nd. After a lengthy process with insurance, I’m finally experiencing this new chapter in my healthcare journey. The administration of Spinraza is unique- I chose to forgo lidocaine, which allows me to feel precisely where the injection occurs. It’s fascinating to sense the needle navigating passed the dura and the arachnoid mater. Surprisingly, recovery has been swift, and while major changes aren’t apparent yet, I’m optimistic.

Hopefully this week I’ll be able to start physical therapy. l anticipate it to play a pivotal role in enhancing the effectiveness of Spinraza. I’m keen to explore how PT will help in my journey towards improved mobility and strength, and I promise to keep you updated with my experiences and achievements. I have wrote on other posts about my own rehab program. I’m praying this is what I get to dive in with PT.

With these exciting developments, I’m looking forward to dedicating more time to the website, engaging with you all, and sharing insights from my other ongoing projects. Big changes and exciting times are ahead, and I’m thrilled to have you join me in this journey of growth and discovery. Until next time!
